Scary! Life Size Human Scarecrow Doll Conquered The Village


The village is called Nagoro and is located in the Iya Valley, the southern part of Japan became a tourist attraction after being popular with the life size human scarecrow doll.

They used to have 300 people residing in there, but moved on to the different town. A Japanese woman Tsukimi Ayano, decided to make scarecrow dolls  in human form to reminisce the time where their village is still alive with people. 

Ayano started making the dolls in 2003 to scare the birds that often eat the seeds in her garden. She dresses her scarecrows using her father’s old clothes. She spends 3 days in making just one doll. She were also makes ‘child’ scarecrows in the abandoned school and filled up the classrooms with it.
