Fake Female, Real Robbery: Malaysian Man Busted in Tokyo

 

A 29-year-old Malaysian national was arrested in Shibuya, Tokyo, after allegedly drugging and robbing a Japanese man in his twenties. The victim approached the long-haired suspect on the street believing he was a woman, using a translation app to communicate before heading to a nearby hotel room together.

While in the room, the suspect allegedly served the victim four glasses of champagne spiked with sleeping pills. Despite noticing a strange white powder at the bottom of his glass, the victim drank the alcohol and lost consciousness. He woke up alone to find ¥27,000 in cash and a cash card missing from his belongings.

The victim reported the robbery to a police station near Shibuya Station after regaining consciousness. The suspect has denied all allegations, and police have not disclosed how they identified him or whether he was intentionally cross-dressing to target local men.
